Mixed vegetable khichdi

Ingredients:

Oil 2tbs

Jeera 1tbs

Pepper corns 10-15

Ginger chopped finely 1tbs

Green chilli chopped 4-5

Mixed vegetables like potato,carrot,beans and peas 2 cups

Split moong 1 cup

Basmati rice 2 cups

Salt to taste

Water 6 cups

Garam masala 1ts

Turmeric powder 1ts

 

Method:

Wash rice and moong dal keep aside.

chop all vegetables.

Heat oil in pressure cooker,add jeera,pepper,green chilli and ginger fry for a minute.

Add vegetables ,fry for 2 minutes.

Add salt,haldi and Garam masala

Add washed rice and moong dal,fry for 2-4 minutes.

Add water close the lid and put the cooker weight on,cook for 3 whistles.

Open the cooker when pressure goes away and there you have ONE POT MEAL. :)

Serve with raita or curry.....
