White pulao

Usha's

Ingredients:

Basmati rice 2 cups

Chopped vegetables 2 cups

Soya nuggets soaked 10-15

Oil 2 tbs

Cinnamon 2inch

Cloves 5-6

Cardamom crushed 3-5

Bay leaves 2

Jeera 1 ts

Onion 1 sliced

Ginger and garlic paste 2 ts

Green chilli sliced4-6

Coriander leaves chopped 3 tbs

salt to taste

Lemon juice2 tbs

Water 4 cups

 

Heat oil in pressure cooker add whole spices like cinnamon,cloves,cardamom bay leaves and jeera.

fry for a minute. Add onion fry for a minute add green chilli,ginger and garlic paste fry for 2 minutes.

Add coriander leaves,chopped vegetables like beans,potato,carrot and peas.

Add soaked and squeezed soya nuggets fry for 3-4 minutes.

Add salt and lemon juice.

Add washed rice fry for a minute.

Add water,close with lid and put the cooker weight on.

Cook for 3 whistles and switch off the stove.

When pressure goes away open the lid and mix well.

Serve with raita... Enjoy.
